I’m at Bootcamp this week (my first one since 2010!), and I wanted to share an idea that’s been key to my success as a B2B copywriter.

In fact, it’s something I’ve been sharing with B2B copywriters here in Florida as they ask me for advice on how to kick-start and grow their business.

I call it the “Baby Steps” strategy. Almost every successful freelance B2B copywriter I know has used this, whether they realized it or not.

And frankly, I’m surprised it’s not talked about more often.

This simple trick is about taking baby steps rather than focusing on huge overnight wins. When you focus on small steps, each of the resulting small victories build on each other, just like compound interest.
