Content marketing drives a great deal of our core marketing communications. But doing it well, and driving results, is easier in theory than in practice! According to the B2B Content Marketing 2015 Benchmark Report, published by Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs, a vast majority (70%) of the most effective B2B marketers are creating more content than they did one year ago; however, not even half (44%) of those marketers have a documented content marketing strategy. Marketer respondents cited “creating engaging content” as the most significant challenge to their efforts, while “producing content consistently” and “measuring content effectiveness” were called out as the other top challenges in content marketing.
Additionally, a recent Oracle SRM survey found that nearly half (49%) of European social media marketers said “creating content to support defined business/communication objectives” was “very important” – but only 33% said they were ‘Very confident’ at doing it! There’s so much content out there that getting people’s attention can be challenging.
One answer is to repurpose content. Tweaking your message for different audiences, through different channels, is an effective way to gain a wide reach. This infographic will give content marketers ideas for exciting new “visual” and “snackable” types of content that cut through the noise.
