There is a lot of excellent advice out there when it comes to content marketing. I consider myself one of those who like to share and create resources here, in fact. However, throughout my journey in researching our content marketing industry resources on the Internet, I have read some absolutely terrible advice on content marketing. Some simply made me shake my head: others made me feel goose-bumps.

There are some different pieces of advice that sound excellent at face value, but are absolutely awful. Intrigued? Keep reading and know what to avoid in your own content marketing. 

1. “You Can Achieve Results in a Day.” This is one of the worst things I’ve heard and I always cringe when it is mentioned. Quality content takes time to create, and it also takes time to bring in the results you want. People aren’t going to show up overnight. You need to build a client base and work to gain and maintain their trust to get the results you want and need for your business.
