Creative Marketing: How Do You Fly? You Just Do!

How do you fly? You just do!I’ve been thinking a lot about creativity recently, not in a 21st Century kind of skills way, but in an inbound marketing content way.

Let me digress for a moment – inbound marketing works but there are a few facts that need be reinforced if you embark on using inbound marketing at your school:

  1. Inbound marketing is not a magic bullet. It will help you market your school but it’s hard work.
  2. Inbound marketing takes time. It’s effects won’t, and don’t, happen overnight.
  3. Inbound marketing is like a machine that demands fuel and that fuel is content.

Point #3 gets me back to my thoughts about creativity. At Sewickley Academy we create a lot of content to fuel our inbound marketing and social media marketing efforts and I spend quite a bit of time thinking about blog posts, posts on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and YouTube
